What is Fibromyalgia?

Fibromyalgia is a syndrome characterised by fatigue and chronic pain in the muscles and tissues surrounding the joints.

The term ‘Fibromyalgia’ is derived from three words – “Fibro” which is a Latin word, meaning fibrous tissues such as tendons and ligaments that connect bones to muscles and bones respectively.

“My” is derived from “Myo” meaning muscles, a thread-like structure forming part of the muscular, nervous, connective  or other tissue in the human body.

” Algia” refers to pain.

In India, when it comes to cases of Fibromyalgia, Bengaluru has seen a rapid increase in number of patients, but there isn’t any prominent organisation catering to this specific segment of people, seeking help from experts.

We’re the pioneers in fibromyalgiac treatments in Bengaluru and we hope to become the ultimate place for all the Fibromyalgiacs.
